Functionality
We started to develop a Coordinator visit calendar, and we ended up with a complete Family Day Care service management application.
With the constant battle between cost and quality we have created a system based on what a Family Day Care service needs, not a re-purposed or generic system, but one made just for our sector. The functions below are just the beginning, FDSee will continue to evolve based on real user feedback – so if you have suggestions for enhancements, just let us know.
Calendar
Provides Coordinators and Managers at a glance with the visits in a given period, coupled with visit planning.
Educator Notes & Reports
A real time running record of Safety Audits, Visit Reports and Notes related to individual Educators.
Educator Details
Each Educator has their own page where Coordination Unit staff can access all relevant current and historical information.
Resource Management
All resources are logged and can be allocated to individual Educators, with reminders for return dates and notes on condition.
Recruitment
A customisable Recruitment Check List (with Action List) is provided, along with Initial Safety Audit and Educator ‘Pending’ status.
Request for Care
Log and prioritise Requests for Care as they come in ‘live’ in the system, cross check with vacancies and refer or wait-list with Educators.
Educator Vacancy Search
With Educator Vacancies stored in the system, search by suburb, surrounding areas and types of care to find child care places in seconds.
Reminders
Input the required visit frequency by Educator to be reminded of due visit dates, coupled with expiring certificates or custom reminders. Automatic email reminders to Educators and Staff for expiring documents.

Management
Total real time visibility of the whole service and Coordinator activity from any internet connected device, including the ability for geo-tracking for Coordinator safety and security.
Vacancies, Requests for Care and Wait-Listing can be maintained in real time, with all staff having immediate access for Parent or Educator enquires.
A real time dashboard means Managers have complete visibility of all expiring certificates and reminders (for Educators and Staff), overdue visits and Coordinator efficiency.
Resources can now be easily managed and allocated to Educators, with reminders when they are due back.

Whether you allocate one Coordinator to a group of Educators, or share them around, FDSee enables coordination of visits and consistency of information in real-time. Private notes can be left relevant to each Educator which means that no issues can be overlooked between visits and Coordinators. Any open ‘Actions’ are also automatically brought forward to each new report until completed.
In addition, visits that fall on a day where the Educator is not working, either outside their Standard Care Hours or using the ‘Care Exceptions’ feature, are flagged and can be moved if required.
Coordination
